She's also very careful to keep her figure trim and firm, as our superficial society demands.

Ms. Cruz is 5'6" and keeps her weight at a very trim 109lbs. Don't assume that she, or anyone else, has some kind of supernatural will-power. She goes thru the same temptations we all experience. Here's a typical daily diet for Penelope Cruz:

Meal 1:
Buckwheat pancakes, or scrambled eggs and onions, cooked with a dash of olive oil.

Meal 2:
Fruit salad with apple and berry granola, or a wild berry smoothie.

Meal 3:
Barbecue-grilled whole-wheat pizza and raw vegetable garnish, or whole-wheat pasta with turkey-meat sauce and grilled mushrooms.

Meal 4:
Couscous with raisins and dates, or a low-fat protein bar.

Couscous is a type of wheat that can be added in side dishes like salad. Some consider it a healthy substitute for traditional pasta.

Meal 5:
Baked cod with green beans and a green salad, or chicken with wine and mushrooms and mixed vegetables.

Ms. Cruz eats small portions as a regular practice. Her pre-planned diet is made up of 50% healthy carbs, 25% lean protein, and 25% healthy fats. She will also occasionally eat chocolate or drink alcohol at a social function.

Penelope Cruz's workout routine includes a number of different activities, including lite weight training, yoga, Pilates, and jogging. She loves ballet dancing, so this is the primary way she keeps in shape.
"I love ballet and I love dancing...... It's a little boring for me to go to the gym because I'm used to the dancing discipline - It's really hard, but much more fun."

I agree that the gym can be boring. If you also get bored with the gym, try to focus efforts on an athletic activity you enjoy, like dancing; and then work toward improving your performance. If you think of your training as (preparing for an activity you enjoy), it gives the whole process more meaning.
Getting in shape and looking 'pretty' is it's own reward, but it's much less boring when you have another goal in mind.
